DUGGAN, Margaret “Meg”
1943 - 2013

Margaret “Meg” Duggan (nee Macfarlane) passed away suddenly on November 11, 2013 at the age of 70. She was born in Lanarkshire, Scotland, the youngest of six children. She is survived by her loyal and loving husband of 49 years, Paul, her eldest sister Kirsty, her daughter Geri (Alan) McCann, her sons Niall (Sandra) and Kevin (Wendy), and her grandchildren, Liam, Sean, Conall, Mairin and Victoria.

She and Paul immigrated to Canada in 1967 with their young family, arriving in Rothesay, New Brunswick, before eventually moving to Cambridge, Ontario. After raising a happy family in Southern Ontario, Meg and Paul moved to the West Coast and eventually settled in Beach Grove, Tsawwassen, BC.

Meg was proudly educated at the University of Glasgow and began her teaching career in Coatbridge, Scotland. She had a very successful career as a housewife, an amateur chef/baker and tennis aficionado. Later, she found her way back to teaching Special Needs and ESL students, and eventually retired from the Invergarry School, Surrey, BC. She cherished her children and saw everyone as innocent. She was always willing to give love where others were afraid.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Parish, 3900 Arthur Drive, Delta, BC on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 am.
