<div itemprop="description">Born September 30, 1927 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Mom passed peacefully at KinVillage Care Home January 1, 2016 in her 89th year. Survived by her children; Yvonne (David), Linda (Doug), Andy (Teri), predeceased by her son, Martin. Beloved Oma of Rebecca (Richard), Teresa (Robbie), Nicole (Simon), Alex and Morgan. Granny to great-grandchildren Logan and Lily. She will be remembered by many friends and relatives in Canada and the Netherlands. Lynn was predeceased by her former husband, Teunis in 2003. <br /> <br />Mom lived in Richmond from 1963 until her move to Ladner in 1994. She moved to Tsawwassen in 2010 to KinVillage &ndash; Assisted Living and later to the Care Home. <br /> <br />Mom was a beautiful woman with an infectious smile. She had a sense of humor that could light up a room. Lynn's passions were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was for many years involved with the Science of Mind Church in Vancouver. Her past hobbies included square dancing, 5 pin bowling, knitting &ndash; including very beautiful Cowichan - style sweaters and playing the organ. In addition to being an excellent homemaker, she was at one time a crossing guard at both Blundell and Cook schools. Mom proudly became a Canadian Citizen in 1977. <br /> <br />We wish to thank Dr. Long and the staff at KinVillage - Assisted Living and KinVillage Care Home for their attention and care to our Mom, Oma and Granny. <br /> <br />In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mom, donations to Variety - The Children&rsquo;s Charity in BC http://www.variety.bc.ca or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. <br /> <br />The family asks that you share your condolences and stories online at www.deltafuneral.ca . <br /> <br />There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 5, 2016, 2 &ndash; 4 pm. at Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk Road, Ladner, BC. <br /> <br />Delta Funeral Home (604) 946-6040 <br /></div>
