<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we have to say farewell to Douglas Gregg Haugen who passed away peacefully in his sleep.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his mother, Lilly Haugen (Wilson) in 2010.&nbsp; Doug's love remains with his children, Charlene, Kim (Nick), Doug (Mercedes), his beloved Angelita and half siblings Doug and Joanne.&nbsp; He will be lovingly missed by his grandchildren Derek, Chris, Aliza, Elise and Michelle.&nbsp; He will be remembered by his former wife, Rozelie.&nbsp; Doug lived a full and rich life despite having suffered a spinal cord injury 43 years ago.&nbsp; Doug loved classic cars, participating in riflery in the BC Special Olympics and was known to have an insatiable appetite for watching the Barrett-Jackson Automobile Auction on TV. Doug will be remembered for his passions in life - family, boating, car shows and the lottery. <br /> <br /> A Memorial Gathering celebrating Doug's life will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk&nbsp;Road, Delta, BC, with a reception to follow.&nbsp; Mr. Haugen will be laid to rest in Boundary Bay Cemetery at 2:00pm, 856 56 Street, Tsawwassen, BC. <br /> <br /> In lieu of flowers, if so desired, the family would appreciate donations be made in Doug's memory to ICORD at www.ICORD.org, a world leading health research center focused on spinal cord injury. <br /> <br /> &quot;We're gonna miss that smile&quot;.</div>
