Brenda Cronin
October 16, 1942 - September 22, 2013
CRONIN, Brenda Elizabeth (nee Berry)
Brenda passed away peacefully at Delta on September 22, 2013, following
complications from cancer and pneumonia.
She was the beloved wife of David for 45 years, loving mother of Linda
and Stephen, and grandmother of Isaac, Samantha and Kieran Ginter.
Brenda was born in Calgary in 1942, grew up in Clarkson (now
Mississauga) and graduated from McGill University in Montreal. She lived
for years in Niagara Falls before moving to Tsawwassen in 1983.
Brenda always had an active interest in community aff airs and politics,
including working to found a woman’s shelter in Niagara and to address
environmental issues in Delta, BC.
She was noted for her love of people and conversation and had a wide
range of interests including art, cards, music and casinos. Friends will miss
her outgoing personality and ability to connect with others.
Those that have known Brenda have benefited from her insight, humor
and willingness to help others.
The family would like to thank the staff of the BC Cancer Agency, Delta
Hospital and the Irene Thomas Hospice for their caring attention during her
illness. In lieu of flowers the family would ask you to consider a donation
to the BC Cancer Foundation.
